Yes, I was referring to Steve Young of ADG. He's a gentleman and a credit to the industry. No pressure or sales tactics. He told me on several occasions that it was, "okay if I buy somewhere else if I can't find what I want here". The diamond I bought was actually cheaper than the other two I was looking at. I told him that I wanted to go more with a diamond that has an outstanding cut and was more brilliant. He didn't try to upsell me; I could tell he only wanted to sell me what I was looking for.

I told him I would pay by check. He even told me, "We discount payments by check. Since you're paying by check, I'll deduct that".

I know where I'll be recommending people and I certainly know where I'll go for jewelry in the future.

I waited a little late to order a diamond for my wife around Valentines Day. Selection was low a week before, so I settled on a diamond from a competitor. I placed the order on Feb.9th, and I was assured it would arrive by the 15th (my anniversary). Twice I checked on the status and was assured by different workers that it would arrive as scheduled.

Imagine my reaction when I checked my e-mail Feb.13th to find a letter stating the diamond I had ordered "will arrive from overseas on Feb. 19th." !

While the company was generally friendly, I consider this a deliberate attempt to decieve. It is also unethical. I made my needs very clear, and they were ignored. It also shows the company has never seen this diamond and are relying on a certificate from another country.

Thanks for the quick and friendly customer service on Feb. 13th., an obviously busy day. I eagerly await its arrival.

I dont know where to begin to express my gratitude for the exemplary service which you provided me. I was so proud of myself for having found your web page, being educated(knowledge is power - I agree!), and purchasing a diamond through you. I have never, in my entire life, felt so good about such a large($ wise) purchase. I have no regrets whatsoever.

My fiance and I started to look for engagement rings with no knowledge of diamonds whatsoever - what to buy or who to buy it from. I found American Diamond Wholesalers surfing the web, and it was my lucky day (which I later realized) when Joe answered the phone. He gave me a brief introduction to Diamonds 101 in less than 10 minutes. So, knowing a little bit more, I did my research on other web sites, and realized that The American Diamond Group division sites provided the best service - and the best prices. I had contacted another diamond seller earlier; the guy who answered the phone was down right rude, wasn't willing to provide me with the answers I needed, made me realize how much I appreciated the excellent service that Joe provided. He answered EVERY single question, even when I repeatedly said, "one last question..."

We went through a long process prior to buying the diamonds. My fiance, being fairly suspicious, wanted to buy from retailers instead of over the phone or the internet. However, retailers would have charged us an arm and a leg for the kind of diamond that we wanted. To give him the peace of mind, I obtained a recommendation from Merril Lynch. They acknowledged that The American Diamond Group had been in business for over 12 years, and said they were sure I would be satisfied in my dealings with them and that they were unaware of any complaints or disputes that had arisen due to customer dissatisfaction.

The anxiousness... The anticipation... My fiancee received the diamonds within a day or two. Joe was able to provide him details where the diamond was in the delivery process. After he received it, he waited several days before he gave me the engagement ring. When he did, I literally stared at the ring in awe. Neither of us were able to say anything for a couple of minutes, except, "Wow...Look how shiny it is". The beauty of the diamond made me wanted to never take it off... ever! We also tested the ring under all kinds of lighting conditions - indoor light, outdoor light, under fluorescent lighting and even in a dimly lit room. In all conditions, the light just danced around those diamonds - pinks, blue, yellow, violet, it was incredible. I couldn't stop smiling and staring at the diamond.

Without a doubt, we were completely satisifed with our purchase. I would recommend the services which American Diamond Wholesalers provides to anyone. I would like to acknowledge Joe Young for his great customer service and sense of humor. He put up with me asking him questions every morning. Just when he thought he had answered all of my questions, he gets another call. As many times as I had bothered him with all my questions, he was always patient. without knowing if i was even going to buy a diamond, steve talked to me in great detail about the in's and out's of buying diamonds. he really put my mind at ease. considering the relatively small item i purchased as compared to the multi-carat diamonds, steve made me feel like a valued customer. when i received the diamond in the mail, along with the setting and beautiful wood box, i took it to a few local jewelers to verify the stone's authenticity, as per steve's suggestion. the jewelers were highly impressed with the stone, the setting, and yes, even the box, and were amazed at the price i paid for it, especially since it is a certified diamond. once i had the ring sized i took my bride-to-be to the keys where i proposed to her on a coral reef. she said yes!

once back in kansas everyone loved her ring and i have been asked by several people for your web address including her brother-in-law. i know this is a long e-mail but this whole experience is a big deal to me and i just wanted to impress upon the fact that you guys, especially steve, have really been a huge part of making this dream work out for me and my future wife! thanks again steve you are a true professional. you'll be hearing from me on my anniversary!
